The situation
During the construction of a technically demanding research vessel, safe working conditions had to be translated into the design, the construction sequence and later use. Changing trades and project phases required a continuous occupational safety assessment.
Our approach
We supported planning and construction from an occupational safety perspective, inspected work areas and processes, assessed hazards and translated the findings into concrete measures for construction, outfitting and operations. Responsibilities and interfaces were documented with the project parties and followed up.
