Clarius Group grows into a leading managed services provider

For many years, Clarius Group has supported companies in outsourcing and optimising their support functions in compliance, legal, technology and data protection. The Hamburg-based group continues to grow, both organically and through acquisitions.

Now comes the next major step: Clarius Group is significantly expanding its range of services. Clarius Group is taking over Finance Operations for a consumer electronics group and establishing the new specialist subsidiary Clarius Services GmbH for this area.

This makes Clarius Group one of Germany’s leading managed services providers (MSPs) for Legal and Financial Operations. MSPs relieve companies of necessary mandatory tasks, allowing them to focus entirely on their core business. Clarius Group is also one of the technology leaders in this market: it combines proprietary, AI-driven software solutions with personal advice from legal consultants and other experts. Apart from global management consultancies, some of which also provide such services, hardly any other MSP in Germany offers such a comprehensive service in these areas.

The range extends from legal and compliance through data protection and technology to finance and accounting. Clarius Group takes over these activities in full or in part, always in close consultation with its clients. Through tailored solutions, it relieves clients of complex support tasks, often involving demanding legal matters, and gives them access to high-quality digital and traditional services.

Its clients include more than 200 companies of all sizes in Germany and worldwide — from small and medium-sized enterprises to major international groups. More than 100 people work at Clarius Group. Clarius Group is the umbrella organisation for four specialist companies: Clarius Legal Rechtsanwaltsaktiengesellschaft, Clarius Data & Security GmbH, Clarius Services GmbH and janolaw. Thousands of small businesses rely on the software provided by this fourth Clarius Group subsidiary. Clarius Group’s revenue has grown for years and has now reached the double-digit millions.

Clarius Group is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. The company began as a B2B service provider in the legal segment and thus as a new type of law firm: more digital, more service-oriented, simpler and, as a result, better tailored and more cost-effective for clients.

The founder and CEO is Dr. Ernst Georg Berger. Co-CEO is former Gruner+Jahr executive Nils Oberschelp.
