Clarius Group launches AI platform CLAIR

Clarius Group, one of Germany’s leading independent managed services providers for legal, compliance and finance operations, is presenting its newly developed AI platform CLAIR. The technology combines legal advice, process automation, AI agents and structured data models in a single infrastructure. This makes it possible to manage legal processes in their entirety within one environment.

Lawyers can remain involved at all times if requested. Where a review takes place, they continue to assume legal responsibility and liability. Clients can configure the degree of automation and the involvement of artificial intelligence flexibly and decide for themselves the extent to which processes are automated, monitored or handled entirely by experts. 

Automating standardised tasks frees up capacity for complex legal assessments and liability matters, where human expertise remains a central element of the service.

The new AI platform enables legal departments to organise all their internal processes while also accessing advisory services. This flexible approach, which gives users freedom of choice, enables these services to be provided even more intelligently, efficiently and individually – optimally combined with the specialist knowledge of Clarius experts. Clarius Group thereby reinforces its ambition to be one of the drivers of innovation in legal consulting and legal technology.

On 21 May 2026, CTO Josef Blank-Beck and Managing Director Legal & Consulting Dr. Arnt Glienke, LL.M. officially presented CLAIR during a livestream and used specific practical examples to demonstrate how CLAIR can be applied.

Dr. Martin Ströder, Head of Law Firm Market at JUVE Verlag, also joined them and discussed how AI is changing legal, finance and compliance, where the pressure to improve efficiency is particularly high and what limits currently remain.

With the introduction of CLAIR, Clarius Group is also expanding its pricing model: in future, clients will be able to pay for services not only based on time spent or headcount, but also on outcomes. Flat-rate agreements and fixed service fees provide greater planning certainty and transparency. This is made possible by the platform’s high degree of automation.

The technology covers all the essential tasks of a legal department – from data protection and occupational safety to contract and receivables management and litigation. CLAIR maps all legal matters centrally, from data capture and processing through to analysis. The platform automatically reads and structures contracts, extracts relevant information and derives tasks and recommended actions from it. A central dashboard provides transparency over processes and processing status.

By integrating AI-based agents and chatbots, services can be delivered more quickly and purposefully with CLAIR. AI agents act as users with equal rights, monitored by Clarius experts. Developing the platform in-house also ensures a high degree of data security.

At launch, the AI platform will be used in legal consulting. The next step will extend CLAIR to finance operations processes.
