CLARIUS.LEGAL AG expands advisory services in data protection, IT security and occupational health and safety.

CLARIUS.LEGAL Rechtsanwaltsaktiengesellschaft is acquiring Lower Saxony-based Ora GmbH, which will operate as CLARIUS.LEGAL Data & Security GmbH in future. Through this strategic integration, the legal service provider is further expanding its portfolio in data protection, IT security and occupational health and safety and positioning itself more broadly in the market. From legal technology solutions and legal advice through to bespoke compliance and data protection advice, CLARIUS.LEGAL supports companies in successfully addressing the steadily growing body of regulation.

The two Management Board members of CLARIUS.LEGAL Rechtsanwaltsaktiengesellschaft, Dr. Ernst Georg Berger and Nils Oberschelp, and Chief Governance Officer Dr. Arnt Glienke will serve as the new managing directors. Former managing director Wolfgang Platte will remain with the company as Senior Sales Manager.

In future, CLARIUS.LEGAL will offer its clients an even broader range of services and added value in meeting statutory requirements. “A digital management system that combines professional advice with the implementation of challenging business issues such as compliance, data protection, occupational health and safety, and IT security for medium-sized companies corresponds exactly to our approach of providing pragmatic, efficient solutions for companies”, explains Nils Oberschelp on why Ora GmbH and CLARIUS.LEGAL have joined forces.

Dr. Georg Berger emphasises that the merger will create new synergies from which new and existing clients of both companies will benefit: “Building on the existing systems, we can offer everything our clients need to position their companies securely, from advice on anti-money laundering and compliance through to a complete compliance management system. The integration also allows us to supplement and develop existing legal technology tools, such as our AI-supported solution for the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act.”

The services provided by CLARIUS.LEGAL Data & Security GmbH expand not only the company’s portfolio of legal advice and related services. In future, it will offer proven solutions for critical data protection issues, such as video surveillance audits, the performance and documentation of transfer impact assessments (TIAs) and software-supported data protection management, as well as occupational safety support in accordance with DGUV Regulation 2, including the provision of an occupational safety specialist. IT security consulting will be another key area in future. This expansion makes it possible to integrate an even greater variety of legal and non-legal services and to meet more extensive individual client requirements.
