Management

Dr Ernst Georg Berger founded Clarius in 2015 with the aim of combining legal quality with the dynamism and efficiency of an alternative legal service provider. Since then, he has expanded the company's portfolio beyond legal activities and, together with Nils Oberschelp as board member, CEO and partner, has developed it into a managed services provider for legal, compliance and finance operations.
Dr Ernst Georg Berger has many years of in-house experience. As a legal advisor, he worked for international telecommunications companies, in particular at the interface between regulation, contract and antitrust law.

Nils Oberschelp is an attorney and has been a member of the Clarius Group Executive Board since 2023. As a board member, co-CEO and shareholder, he is primarily responsible for tech, sales, marketing, IT and finance and has driven the expansion of the company together with Dr Ernst Georg Berger.
Nils Oberschelp has more than twenty-five years of management experience in the media and digital business and has worked as CEO in various Gruner + Jahr companies such as DPV Deutscher Pressevertrieb GmbH, Motor Presse Stuttgart and Delius Klasing Verlag.

Luise Adler joined Clarius in 2017 and has since played a key role in building up the law firm part of the Clarius Group as Chief Operating Officer and authorised signatory. Together with Dr Arnt Glienke, she heads the Group's Legal & Consulting division. Her focus is on providing clients with practical, company-orientated, efficient and cost-transparent solutions and continuously developing legal services at the highest level.
Luise Adler studied law at the Free University of Berlin and completed her legal traineeship in Berlin and New York. Her professional career took her from a renowned commercial law firm to the legal department of an international corporation and finally to Clarius, where she combines both perspectives - law firm and in-house. As a lawyer, she is operationally responsible for civil and commercial law advice and focuses on contract and labour law as well as IP/IT law.

Dr Arnt Glienke joined the Clarius management team in 2023. Together with Luise Adler, he heads the Legal & Consulting division, where he is responsible for the consulting focus areas of compliance, data protection and current regulatory requirements. He is also Managing Director of the service portfolio of Clarius Data & Security GmbH. His trademark: pragmatic solutions for complex challenges.
Dr Glienke studied law in Hamburg, completed his legal clerkship in Brussels and London and then obtained his doctorate at the University of Speyer. Before joining Clarius, he worked in management positions at international companies, where he was responsible for setting up and operating complex compliance management systems and established himself as a specialist in corporate compliance and regulatory issues.

As Managing Director of Clarius Services GmbH, Michael Sander, together with Ferdinand von Hutten, manages and expands the Clarius Group's Managed Financial Services, which include receivables management, credit risk management, claim management and contract management.
He began his professional career with a commercial apprenticeship and subsequently took on tasks in the development of new product areas and commercial structures. He managed the international development of regional corporate structures and major infrastructure projects in Europe and South East Asia. This was followed by central commercial management functions, including controlling, contract and receivables management and finance operations. He was also responsible for cross-divisional projects relating to digitalisation, automation, process optimisation and organisational development.

As Managing Director of janolaw GmbH, Ferdinand von Hutten is responsible for the further development of digital business models in the field of software-supported creation of legal texts. At Clarius Services GmbH, together with Michael Sander, he is responsible for managed financial services for our clients and is also the commercial director of the group.
After studying business administration with a specialisation in accounting and finance, Ferdinand von Hutten worked in management consulting and in various management positions in project management and in the management of digitally oriented companies. He brings this experience to the strategic and operational development of the Clarius Group.

Martina Kostro has been part of the Clarius Group since April 2025 and is responsible for the People and Culture division as Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, she manages the strategic and operational development of HR work within the Group - particularly in the areas of organisational development, employer branding and HR strategy.
After training in communications and marketing and completing a part-time business administration degree specialising in HR and marketing, she worked in various management positions - including in HR management, internal communications and operations. She has supported both owner-managed companies and growth-oriented organisations in the further development of structures and processes.

Josef Blank-Beck has been Chief Technology & Product Officer of the Clarius Group since August 2024 and is responsible for the technological development of legal tech solutions within the Group. His focus is on the integration of innovative technologies - particularly in the field of artificial intelligence - to optimise legal processes and the development of scalable digital products.
Before joining Clarius, Josef Blank-Beck worked as an entrepreneur and full-stack developer for over 15 years. During this time, he founded and managed several technology projects, including an AI-supported collaboration platform for remote teams.
